Prime Minister’s Important Discussion with President Xi of China on 8 September 2026

This morning, the Prime Minister held a conversation with President Xi Jinping of China, during which he conveyed his heartfelt condolences for the tragic loss of life resulting from recent flooding along the Nepal-China border. He also expressed gratitude for the rescue operations and support extended to British nationals affected by these events.
