Forest Bikes Expands to Another West London Borough: Enjoy £1 Rides Until 31st August!

Forest e-bikes have officially launched in 20 boroughs across London, with their recent expansion into Ealing on 30th July. The company is introducing an impressive fleet of 900 e-bikes in West London, offering pay-as-you-go rides starting at just £1 until the end of August. This move enables Forest to provide the most extensive continuous network of e-bike services in the capital, facilitating seamless journeys into the adjacent boroughs of Brent, Hounslow, and Hammersmith & Fulham.

Affordable Travel Options for All

In a bid to enhance accessibility, Forest has committed to expanding its Friends of the Forest programme. This initiative offers a 50% discount on pay-as-you-go rides for individuals from low-income backgrounds, key workers, NHS personnel, those with disabilities, carers, seniors over 60, and students. As a result, the cost per minute for these users is reduced to just 17p. To ensure safety and compliance, Forest plans to deploy a dedicated team to monitor high-risk locations, particularly those notorious for red-light violations and pavement riding, to enforce penalties against irresponsible behaviour.

Strengthening Community Connections

Following the entries of Lime and Voi, Forest is now the third e-bike operator to establish a presence in Ealing. Alex Berwin, the head of policy at Forest, expressed enthusiasm about this expansion, stating, “We are delighted to be expanding into Ealing, which marks another important milestone in Forest’s growth. Operating across 20 boroughs, we’re now able to offer the largest continuous network in London, making journeys across the Capital even more seamless.”

He further added, “Our ambition has always been to offer convenient, reliable, and affordable ways to get around London. We are looking forward to working with Ealing Council to deliver a service that not only residents can rely on, but works for everyone in the local community.”

The Forest e-bike network now spans numerous boroughs, including Barking and Dagenham, Brent, Camden, City of London, Enfield, Greenwich, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Haringey, Hounslow, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Kingston upon Thames, Lambeth, Lewisham, Merton, Richmond upon Thames, Southwark, Sutton, Tower Hamlets, Wandsworth, and Westminster. While Forest has made significant strides, other areas such as Barnet, Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, Newham, Redbridge, and Waltham Forest remain untouched by their service.
