Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk is depicted during a spacewalk on 29th October 2026. At the time this photograph was taken, the International Space Station was positioned 267 miles above the South Atlantic Ocean. During this mission, Kutryk, alongside NASA astronaut Anil Menon, successfully installed a new roll-out solar array on the space station.
In addition to the installation, the astronauts undertook preparatory work for their upcoming spacewalk scheduled for 5th November 2026. This next mission will involve the installation of the eighth and final roll-out solar array. Collectively, these eight arrays are expected to augment the station’s power capacity by up to 30%.
