Diamond Heart Tattoo: Brigi Fuzes brings more than 20 years of tattooing to a private studio in South Croydon

The award-winning artist, who began tattooing in Budapest at 18, specialises in black and grey realism and complex cover-ups

Diamond Heart Tattoo is a private, appointment-only tattoo studio in South Croydon, led by the award-winning artist Brigi Fuzes. Brigi is a qualified painter. She began tattooing in Budapest at the age of 18, moved to London in 2009 and has more than 20 years of tattooing experience. The studio she opened in Bexleyheath in 2016 is now based in South Croydon.

Realism with a fine art foundation

Brigi specialises in black and grey realism and complex cover-ups, combining her fine art training with advanced tattoo techniques and detailed custom design. Her freehand airbrush work has appeared in tattoo, art and car magazines, and she has been featured on Channel 4, Channel 5 and Spike TV.

She is passionate about changing how people see tattoos: as meaningful, permanent works of art, built on trust between the artist and the collector. “Each piece is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring both safety and artistic excellence,” the studio says.

A record on the convention circuit

Her work has been recognised at tattoo conventions. She took first place in Large Black and Grey at the Epidermis Tattoo Convention in 2017. At Skin Deep’s Tattoo Freeze in 2019 she won first place in Black and Grey and Best of Day on the Sunday, and was runner-up for Best Realism, the same position she achieved at The Great British Tattoo Show that year. At Ink and Engine Fest 2024 she won Best Portrait and Best of Day on the Saturday, and was runner-up in Large Realism. In 2025 she came second in Best Realism/Portrait at Tattoo Factory and won Best Small Black and Grey at Locked Up. She has also been invited to judge tattoo competitions.

How the studio works

The studio works by appointment only, in a private setting. Consultations are free and give the artist and the client time to discuss and plan the design before any work begins. Diamond Heart Tattoo does tattoos only, with no piercing, and has a strict over-18 policy. Every client completes a consent form and a medical questionnaire before being tattooed, and the studio places great weight on hygiene and professionalism.
