A 13-year-old boy has entered a plea of not guilty following accusations of stabbing two fellow students at Kingsbury High School in Brent, North-West London. The young defendant, whose identity remains confidential due to his age, is alleged to have attacked the two boys, aged 12 and 13, in the presence of other pupils and a teacher.
The incident reportedly occurred on February 10, with one victim being assaulted in a classroom and the other in the school playground. Fortunately, both boys survived the ordeal. Following the attack, the accused was arrested and has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, which he vehemently denies.
Legal Proceedings and Court Appearance
During a recent court hearing at the Old Bailey, the young boy spoke primarily to confirm his identity and to contest the charges against him. Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb addressed him, stating, “We have been talking about your case and I am afraid we haven’t always used straightforward language because we have been talking about some legal things which have to be covered in this kind of hearing.” She emphasised the importance of his cooperation with his legal representatives during the proceedings.
The boy has been remanded in custody, and his trial is set to commence on November 23. The case has drawn significant attention, given the serious nature of the allegations and the ages of those involved.
