A former nurse has been extradited to the United Kingdom from Barbados, facing serious charges related to unlawful sexual conduct with a patient at a London hospital during the 2000s. Jason Forde, aged 56, stands accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a woman receiving treatment for a mental disorder at Homerton Hospital in Hackney, as detailed in court documents.

Following his arrival at Heathrow Airport on Friday, he made his first appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

During the brief hearing, Forde, who does not have a fixed address, appeared in the dock dressed in a grey tracksuit and wearing glasses. He confirmed his name and date of birth but was not required to enter any pleas at this stage. Following the proceedings, he was remanded in custody and is scheduled to next appear at Wood Green Crown Court on 25 August.
