Fostering Economic Collaboration

Commitment to Shared Goals
Prior to his engagements in Dublin, Sir Chris Bryant expressed his views, stating, “The UK-Ireland relationship is fundamental to our shared security and prosperity, and has been significantly strengthened over the past two years.”
He emphasised his dedication to working in partnership with the ministers in Dublin to promote collaborative efforts, uphold the principles of the Good Friday Agreement, and fulfil the commitments both governments have made regarding legacy matters under the Joint Framework.
Moreover, Sir Chris highlighted his mission in Dublin as an opportunity to advocate for the vast economic potential of Northern Ireland, while underscoring the importance of trade and investment that can positively impact communities in both Northern Ireland and across the islands.
