The NASA Freedom 250 F-5 team, led by NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, conducted a spectacular flyover during the national anthem at an NFL game between the Cleveland Browns and the Carolina Panthers at Huntington Bank Field on 27th September 2026 in Cleveland.
As part of the agency’s Inspiration Tour, Isaacman is set to pilot one of three F-5 fighter jets during the New York Jets versus Cleveland Browns game in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday, 11th October. This thrilling event aims to celebrate NASA’s ongoing efforts in space exploration.
Engaging Fans Through Interactive Experiences
Prior to the game, NASA team members will be present at the Experience Zone located in the Jets Tailgate Zone outside the stadium, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT. Fans attending the game will have the opportunity to engage with various educational activities, including learning about NASA’s ambitious plans for returning to the Moon under the Artemis programme. Interactive games will be available, along with a chance to take photographs with a large inflatable Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.
During the game, Isaacman will be available for a limited number of media interviews. Interested parties are encouraged to coordinate arrangements by contacting Camille Gallo via email at camille.m.gallo@nasa.gov or by phone at 202-531-8057.
A Nationwide Initiative to Inspire Innovation
The Inspiration Tour, which includes multiple stops across the country, aims to unite academic, industrial, and public sector stakeholders. This initiative seeks to connect the agency with the individuals, technologies, and organisations that are pivotal in maintaining American leadership in space exploration.
The tour will culminate in the MAX POWER public exposition, scheduled for Saturday, 7th November, and Sunday, 8th November, at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This multi-day event, held in celebration of America’s historic 250th anniversary, promises to be a family-friendly experience that showcases next-generation aircraft, spacecraft, autonomous vehicles, and cutting-edge technologies that will shape the future of transportation in both air and space.
