NASA Invites Blind and Low-Vision Individuals to Join Exciting Virtual Artemis Webinar

On 8th September 2023, two technicians at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans were observed working around one of the four RS-25 engines destined for the core stage of the agency’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, which is set to undertake the Artemis II mission. The RS-25 engine, characterised by its distinctive bell-shaped nozzle and an intricate array of piping, is currently positioned horizontally, supported by an engine installer. Remarkably, the engine is comparable in size to a large pickup truck, underscoring its substantial engineering design. The technicians present were equipped with hard hats and safety harnesses, adhering to strict safety protocols.
