Man Suffers Fractured Skull in Brawl at BrewDog Waterloo During World Cup Match

A patron at a London pub sustained a fractured skull following a violent altercation that erupted after England’s triumphant World Cup match against Mexico. The incident occurred at BrewDog, located at Waterloo station, in the early hours of July 6. Authorities are now seeking witnesses to the event.

Altercation Escalates Post-Match

Initial tensions arose during the game between two men, but the situation deteriorated significantly shortly after the final whistle. At approximately 4.12am, one individual was assaulted by another within the venue. As a result of the confrontation, the victim not only suffered a fracture around his eye socket but also incurred additional injuries to his skull.

In connection with the initial dispute, two men have been arrested—one on suspicion of common assault and the other for affray. Both individuals have since been released on conditional bail while investigations proceed, as confirmed in a statement by the British Transport Police (BTP).

Detectives are making a concerted appeal for any video footage that may capture the events of the assault, as well as for potential witnesses who were present at the scene.
