Jet2 Unveils Exciting New Route from London Stansted to Popular Skiing Destination

Londoners looking to embark on a ski holiday next winter will be pleased to learn of a new travel option from Stansted Airport, as Jet2.com has announced an exciting new route to Innsbruck for the 2026/27 season. The airline will offer weekly Saturday flights between London Stansted and the Austrian city, commencing on 19 December 2026 and continuing until 10 April 2027. These flights have been strategically scheduled to align with peak travel times, including Christmas, the February half-term, and Easter.

Jet2.com has introduced this route in response to the increasing demand for ski holidays, promising over 6,000 additional seats for winter sports enthusiasts departing from Stansted. With the addition of Innsbruck, the airline’s ski programme from the Essex airport will now include five destinations for the upcoming winter season. In conjunction with the new Austrian route, Jet2.com will also operate flights to Chambery, Geneva, Grenoble, and Salzburg, providing passengers with access to some of the most renowned ski regions across Austria, France, Switzerland, and northern Italy.

Access to Renowned Ski Resorts

Innsbruck is celebrated as one of Europe’s premier winter sports hubs, situated conveniently close to several ski resorts. The Nordkette ski area, located merely 20 minutes from the city centre, boasts six slopes catering to various skill levels, alongside a dedicated snow park. Additionally, skiers can easily reach renowned resorts like Mayrhofen, famed for its reliable snow conditions, and St Anton am Arlberg, known for its vibrant après-ski atmosphere.

The comprehensive ski programme for Winter 26/27 from London Stansted, which includes Innsbruck, encompasses several other popular destinations. Chambery serves as a gateway to the world-famous ski resorts of the French Alps, including Courchevel, which was the host of the 2023 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. Jet2.com offers up to three weekly flights to Chambery (two on Saturdays and one on Sundays), ensuring quick and efficient access to some of Europe’s best slopes.
