Meet Gary Ousby: The Longevity and Neuroscience Coach Supporting Londoners From Harley Street

Life in London moves fast. Between demanding careers, family commitments and the constant pull of the next deadline, looking after your own health is often what slips first. Gary Ousby MSc believes it doesn’t have to be that way.

From his practice on Harley Street, Gary has spent more than 25 years helping people build healthier, more energised and more resilient lives. As founder of Physical Wellbeing Ltd, he works as a longevity and neuroscience coach. His approach brings together body, mind and nutrition in one clear, sustainable plan.

An award-winning coach with a quarter-century of experience

Gary’s career has taken him through elite sport, high-performance environments and work with people operating at the highest levels of achievement. Over that time he has worked with business leaders, executives, athletes and performers. Clients include former Olympic champion Audley Harrison, England cricketer Mark Ramprakash, and performers Faye Tozer and Martin Kemp.

His work has been recognised publicly. Physical Wellbeing Ltd was named Best Life & Wellness Coach 2021 at the News UK Enterprise Awards.

What Gary took from those years is simple. The foundations of good health are universal. “Whether someone is an athlete preparing for competition, a professional managing the demands of a busy life, or someone simply wanting to feel healthier and more energised, the principles remain the same,” he explains. At Physical Wellbeing Ltd, the aim is to make knowledge developed at the highest levels of human performance accessible to everyone.

Why neuroscience and longevity?

Most of us already know that exercise, good food and rest matter. The harder part is turning that knowledge into habits that last. That is where Gary’s focus on neuroscience comes in.

His coaching looks at the mind, behaviours, emotions and thought patterns that shape the choices we make every day. Understanding why we reach for the same habits under stress, why motivation fades after a few weeks, and how our thinking influences our energy and focus is often what makes change stick. Gary’s role is to help clients understand where they are today, identify realistic next steps and build consistent progress that grows into confidence and momentum.

Longevity coaching follows the same practical spirit. It isn’t about overwhelming clients with science. It is about making better everyday choices that support health, performance and quality of life for longer, or, as Gary puts it, adding years to your life and life to your years. For clients who want a deeper layer of insight, advanced assessments can be used where appropriate to help personalise nutrition and lifestyle choices.

The Three Pillars of Wellbeing

At the heart of Physical Wellbeing is a philosophy Gary sums up in six words: Think Well. Move Well. Eat Well. Every coaching plan is built across three connected pillars.

Pillar one: Physical wellbeing

The first pillar is about creating a stronger, healthier body through appropriate movement, activity and habits that suit each person’s lifestyle, ability and goals. The focus is on:

  • Strength and stability for everyday life
  • Energy and stamina to enjoy work, family and leisure time
  • Mobility and flexibility to move with ease and reduce stiffness
  • Recovery and resilience to support the body’s ability to recover and perform

Every plan is personalised. It is designed to work around a client’s life, not against it.

Pillar two: Emotional wellbeing

The second pillar looks at the mind. How we think, feel and respond under pressure affects everything from our decisions to our sleep. Gary helps clients understand their behaviours and thought patterns, manage stress, and build the mental clarity that supports better choices day to day. For busy professionals and executives in particular, this pillar can be the difference between merely coping and performing well.

Pillar three: Nutritional wellbeing

The third pillar gives clients the knowledge to fuel their bodies effectively. That means personalised nutrition guidance, steadier energy, clear advice that removes confusion, and sustainable eating habits that support long-term health, with no extreme or restrictive approaches. Where appropriate, advanced assessments help tailor the plan further.

Why all three matter

Gary is clear that these pillars are not separate. Better physical health gives you more energy. Better emotional wellbeing helps you make clearer decisions. Better nutrition supports both. “Real change happens when all three work together,” he says.

Change that lasts

Gary’s approach is built on a simple observation. Most people don’t need more information. They need support. Without it, motivation can fade and old habits return when progress feels slow.

His philosophy is that real change doesn’t come from being handed a plan. It comes from having the right support to build a healthier lifestyle you can maintain. Success isn’t created through extreme measures. It comes from finding the right balance, building sustainable habits and recognising that positive change is possible.

Who is Gary’s coaching for?

Gary’s clients come from very different starting points, including:

  • Busy professionals, business owners and executives who want sustainable energy, focus and stress management under real pressure
  • Athletes and performers preparing for a specific event or period of performance
  • Anyone rebuilding their health after a busy period or setback, or after putting themselves last for too long
  • People who have tried diets and gyms before and want a plan built around their actual life

Clients have described the difference this individual approach makes. Mark Ramprakash says he uses Gary’s coaching as a kick-start to getting in shape for each new season. Audley Harrison recalled the focus on balance, agility and explosive power, and said he would recommend it to any athlete.
