The accident took place on 25 August 2025, at Shanklin Road on the Isle of Wight.

At the time of the incident, the aircraft was engaged in a trial lesson. Shortly after taking off from Isle of Wight/Sandown Airfield, it lost controlled flight and tragically collided with the ground near the A3020. Of the four individuals on board, three sustained fatal injuries, while the fourth occupant was left with serious injuries.
