On Thursday, 27 August, the British Ambassador to Argentina, David Cairns, bid farewell to eight Argentine professionals who are set to embark on a transformative journey to the United Kingdom to pursue their master’s degrees through the esteemed Chevening scholarship programme.
Acknowledging Future Leaders
During his address, Ambassador Cairns extended his heartfelt congratulations to the scholarship recipients, highlighting the impressive range of their chosen fields of study, interests, and the diverse universities they will attend. He remarked, “Tonight, we celebrate not only the departure of a new cohort of exceptional scholars, but also the continued growth of a community that connects Argentina and the United Kingdom through education, leadership and lasting friendship.”
This prestigious scholarship programme is designed to support young individuals from Argentina who demonstrate leadership potential, allowing them to undertake a graduate programme at a British university of their choice, with all expenses covered. Applications for the 2027-2028 academic year are currently open from 4 August until 6 October 2026. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply through the Chevening platform in Argentina.
