NASA Announces Inaugural Winner in Phase 2 of the Exciting LunaRecycle Challenge

Team CERBERUZ, comprised of talented students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has made headlines by clinching top honours in NASA’s LunaRecycle Challenge. This innovative competition seeks to promote sustainable practices in space exploration, particularly focusing on recycling materials on the Moon.

In a celebratory display, 14 members of the 30-strong team were photographed in front of two impressive backdrops featuring NASA’s iconic “meatball” logo and branding for the Centennial Challenges. Proudly showcasing their achievements, the team members held up two substantial cheques awarded to them, totalling $500,000 and $275,000 respectively.
