An opportunity has arisen for a Communications Officer to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in enhancing the communication efforts of the organisation and serving as a primary point of contact for external inquiries.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the Communications Team and the broader organisation. Key responsibilities include managing the correspondence database and the public-facing mailbox, as well as overseeing the main telephone line and incoming post. You will ensure that all inquiries are logged accurately, triaged appropriately, and resolved within established timelines.

In addition to external communication, you will provide essential internal communications support. This includes coordinating information from various departments to create and distribute weekly staff newsletters. You will also be tasked with maintaining the reception PowerPoint slides, ensuring staff are kept informed of relevant updates.

Your role will also encompass publishing external communications on the GOV.UK platform, adhering to established style and accessibility guidelines. A crucial aspect of your responsibilities will involve maintaining precise contact records and databases, utilising Microsoft Office applications to their full potential.
