The warning, released on Wednesday, July 15, indicated: “High tides tomorrow morning may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from 2:45am to 6:45am on July 16. The forecast high tide at Richmond is expected to reach 4.60 mAOD at 4:45am.”

Areas specifically highlighted for potential flooding include Putney Embankment (SW15), Chiswick Mall and Strand on the Green (W4), Thames Bank at Mortlake (SW14), Ranelagh Drive (TW1), Friars Lane and Water Lane (TW9), as well as Riverside and The Embankment at Twickenham, alongside the Towpath below Teddington Lock.
