Changes to Objection Submission Process
From 1 December 2026, all objections regarding a limited company facing dissolution must be submitted through the online service provided by Companies House. Following this date, objections sent via email will no longer be accepted.
This update is designed to streamline the objection process, making it more efficient, faster, and secure. It forms part of the ongoing digital transformation of services, aimed at improving user experience.
Steps to Submit an Online Objection
To utilise the online objection service, you will need to follow a few straightforward steps:
Firstly, you must create an account with Companies House. This ensures that your submissions are securely processed and allows you access to your submissions and any updates.
Next, you will need to provide the name and registration number of the company that is being proposed for removal from the register. This information is crucial for identifying the specific company in question.
Finally, you will be required to upload any supporting documents that substantiate your objection. These documents may include evidence or information that supports your case against the striking off.
The entire process is designed to be quick and should take approximately five minutes to complete, enabling you to submit your objections efficiently.
