LMFIT is the personal training practice of Liz, a London-based coach who has spent more than twenty years helping women and men build lasting strength — in her own words, “not just for looks, but for a better life”. Working across Hackney, Stoke Newington and a wider spread of North and South West London, she specialises in training people over 35, with a particular focus on empowering women over 40.
Her philosophy is summed up in the phrase that runs through her work: training for strength and longevity. Rather than chasing short-term aesthetics, LMFIT’s programmes are designed to help busy people move well, stay healthy for decades to come and feel genuinely capable in their bodies — whether that means recovering from injury, returning to fitness after having a baby, or preparing for a specific event.
With a BSc in Sports Science, registration with REPs and CIMSPA, and more than 500 clients trained, Liz combines academic grounding with a career’s worth of practical coaching experience.
From Competitive Sport to Coaching
Liz’s route into personal training began as a competitive regional athlete, taking part in athletics, netball, hockey, CrossFit and running from a young age. Enduring injuries of her own, and working alongside some of the top sports therapy professionals in South Africa, gave her first-hand knowledge that now informs her coaching.
After graduating in Sports Science, she developed expertise across pre and postnatal training, injury rehabilitation, sports massage, weight loss and athlete conditioning, and coached sport in both Switzerland and South Africa before becoming a professional personal trainer. That exposure to people performing at the top of their game — from athletes to senior executives — has shaped a notably well-rounded approach to health coaching.
Her method is deliberately science-led rather than trend-led: she coaches what the research says works, while meeting each client where they actually are, with their real schedule, real body and real demands on their time. Sleep, stress, nutrition and movement are treated as interacting parts of a whole-person programme.
One-to-One Training Across North and South West London
The core of LMFIT’s work is fully bespoke one-to-one training, built around each client’s body, goals and diary. Sessions take place at private studios — HMPT Studios in Hackney, Cobbled Yard PT in Stoke Newington and GymPods in Dalston — as well as in clients’ homes, gardens and local parks, with all equipment provided.
Areas covered include Stoke Newington, Hackney, Dalston, Highbury, Islington and Finsbury Park in North and East London, alongside Battersea, Clapham and Wandsworth in South West London and sessions in Guildford. Every programme begins with a full movement and postural assessment, and includes nutrition and lifestyle guidance with WhatsApp support between sessions.
Liz also runs free community fitness classes in Stoke Newington, Highbury, Islington and South West London — a reflection of a practice built as much around community as individual results.

Specialist Support: Pre and Postnatal, Injury Rehab and Sports Massage
A defining strength of LMFIT is its specialist provision. Liz holds dedicated qualifications in pre and postnatal fitness, with particular expertise in pelvic floor health and diastasis recti. Her programmes for mums range from safe training during pregnancy to structured core rebuilding after birth, with baby-friendly scheduling that lets parents bring their little ones along.
Injury rehabilitation and sports massage form a second specialist pillar. Drawing on her experience with athletes at all levels, she offers full injury assessments, recovery planning, postural correction, movement screening and return-to-sport programming — helping clients get back to doing what they love safely.
Her wider qualifications span strength and conditioning, weight loss, postural assessment, nutrition coaching and athlete conditioning, allowing the same evidence-based approach to be adapted to very different starting points.
Online Coaching Designed Around Busy Lives
For clients with unpredictable schedules — or those based outside London — LMFIT offers online coaching with the same expert programming and personal attention as in-person work. Its flexibility makes it suitable for a wide range of busy individuals: from mums who may only be able to find twenty minutes for themselves each day to professionals travelling from hotel to hotel who need a programme, structure and an expert eye that can accompany them wherever they go.
Rather than simply providing a generic set of workouts, Liz creates progressive programmes adapted to each client’s goals, circumstances and available time. Support covers training, nutrition, everyday habits and mindset, with regular coaching calls, daily communication and ongoing guidance to help clients remain consistent.
Clients can record their exercises and send videos for form checks, allowing Liz to review their technique, provide detailed feedback and adjust the programme as they progress. This combination of video analysis, regular contact and individual accountability means that clients can continue receiving expert support whether they are at home, travelling for work or fitting a short session around parenting and other responsibilities.
The result is a coaching format that travels with the individual, removing the need to be tied to a particular gym, city or fixed weekly appointment.
Corporate Wellbeing for Demanding Organisations
Alongside her individual clients, Liz delivers corporate wellbeing programmes for some of London’s most demanding organisations. Her client list includes Clifford Chance, The New York Times, Logicalis, First National Bank, Rand Merchant Bank and Workspace Group.
Services range from posture and desk ergonomics workshops to lunchtime training sessions, stress management and movement workshops, one-to-one coaching for senior leaders and team fitness challenges. Programmes can run as one-off events, monthly workshops or ongoing embedded schemes.
Liz is also developing WelliTeam, a dedicated corporate wellbeing platform designed to make professional health support accessible to employees wherever and whenever they need it. The platform brings together short, practical exercise videos, mindfulness resources, online coaching, coaching calls and individual one-to-one support within a flexible digital environment.
This online provision is intended to complement in-person wellbeing events rather than replace them. Employees can access manageable activities that fit around their working day, while organisations can combine digital resources with workshops, team sessions and personalised coaching. This makes the programme suitable for office-based, remote and hybrid teams, as well as employees whose roles involve frequent travel.
Progress tracking is another central part of the service. By monitoring participation and development over time, the platform is designed to help both individuals and organisations understand the effect of the programme and maintain engagement beyond a single wellbeing day or isolated workshop.
What distinguishes Liz’s corporate work is this emphasis on continuity, personal support and measurable progress. Instead of treating workplace wellbeing as a tick-box exercise, WelliTeam aims to create an integrated programme in which employees can access useful resources, speak to a coach, receive one-to-one guidance and build healthier habits over time.
With two decades of coaching behind her, a science degree underpinning her methods and a practice that spans private studios, parks, homes, screens and boardrooms, Liz has built LMFIT into a distinctive presence in London personal training — one focused, above all, on helping people get fitter for longer.
