Police Launch Manhunt Following Antisemitic Assault in North London Park

A police manhunt is currently underway following an unprovoked antisemitic attack that occurred earlier this month in a park in North London. The incident, which involved a father and his three-year-old son, took place in Markfield Park, Tottenham, on Saturday, 4th July, around 5.30pm.

The victims were assaulted by a man in his twenties who made threatening remarks directed not only at them but also towards the wider Jewish community. Fortunately, both the father and son did not require any medical attention following the incident.

Suspect Description and Circumstances of the Attack

The suspect has been described as a mixed-race male of medium height and muscular build, with short hair and stubble. He is also known to have a tattoo on his left bicep. At the time of the assault, he was seen wearing a white cap and riding a red-orange e-bike.

The incident was promptly reported to the police by a member of the public, and response officers arrived on the scene within ten minutes. Since the attack, detectives have been pursuing various lines of enquiry to locate the suspect.

Appeal for Public Assistance in Investigation

Detective Constable Benny Palmer, who is leading the investigation, expressed concern about the impact of the attack on the local community, stating: “This was a shocking, unprovoked attack and we know it will cause concern to the local community.” He emphasised the urgency of identifying the offender and called upon the public to assist in the investigation.

Detective Constable Palmer specifically requested that anyone with relevant information, especially those who filmed footage in the park during the early evening of 4th July or those with doorbell or dashcam footage near Crawford Road, Seven Sisters, come forward.
